What is the wheel of being?

It's a simple method that relates to our state of being, at any given moment.

What is it good for?

The wheel can be used in any interpersonal, face-to-face interaction, where we want to bring those present closer together – such as a team meeting, an employee performance review or a personal talk.

How does it work?

Everyone needs to mark on the wheel their level of being on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

What can we get from it?

The wheel acts as a springboard for an open discussion, allowing employees to effectively express their feelings and focus on the areas in which they want to improve or deepen their knowledge.

After completing the wheel of being, each employee should share with the rest of the group any new information they discovered about themselves, such as if they were surprised about something or areas they think they can, should and want to improve.

The wheel can also be re-used after a certain period of time in order to detect trends and shifts in personal and group behaviors.

For managers, the wheel serves as a tool to deepen their relationships with employees and strengthen the connections among team members. In addition, it presents an opportunity for creating a discourse that relates to important values, such as "We Are All One", "Vitality", etc.
